PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the output by enlarging the cross-sectional area of a magnetic path while avoiding a significant increase in axial dimension of the stator of a claw-pole type motor. SOLUTION: Stator rings 31, 32 and 33 of phase U, phase V and phase W stacked in the direction of axis L are provided with a plurality of protrusions 31c, 32c and 33c facing the outer circumferential surface of a rotor at the radial inner end of a plurality of teeth 31b, 32b and 33b extending radially inward from annular return paths 31a, 32a and 33a. Cross-sectional area of the magnetic path of a flux being delivered from the rotor to the protrusions 31c, 32c and 33c and flowing into the return paths 31a, 32a and 33a through the teeth 31b, 32b and 33b is enlarged by connecting the teeth 31b, 32b and 33b adjacent in the circumferential direction with the protrusions 31c, 32c and 33c adjacent in the circumferential direction through side face magnetic paths 31d, 32d and 33d.
