PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate necessity to confirm RBT for a while for confirming non-presence of message and necessity to wait until a bell rings more than usual. SOLUTION: The message of voice mail is stored by a voice mail means 3 correspondingly to the number of a telephone set to be the object of leaving this message, and a listener terminal telephone number indicating the telephone number of a terminal allowed to listen to the message is stored by a storage means 4 correspondingly to the number of the telephone set to be the object of leaving the message. When a caller number received via a telephone line at the time of incoming call is matched with the listener terminal telephone number, the number of the telephone set corresponding to the listener terminal telephone number is read from the storage means by a control means 2, and it is investigated whether or not a message corresponding to the read number of the telephone set is stored in the voice mail means and when the message is not stored, the incoming call is disconnected.
