PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing panel drive device which realizes lowering of a back of vehicle-mounted equipment. SOLUTION: The panel drive device for vehicle-mounted equipment is so constituted that one side surface of a cabinet 2 is made capable of opening by slanting and falling an opening and closing panel after translating the panel outside the cabinet 2 which panel is arranged so as to freely enter and exit from the one side surface of the cabinet 2 to the inside and the outside of the cabinet 2. In the panel drive device, a guidance way 10 which guides a linking pin 15 which links a linkage member 11 to a driving member 7 is arranged in the bottom surface 6 of the cabinet 2. In the case that the opening and closing panel is closed, the linking pin 15 takes an engagement position wherein the linking pin 15 is engaged and held with a tip of a pin gliding way 9. In the case that the opening and closing panel is opened and operated when the linking pin 15 reaches the tip of the guidance way 10 by forward movement in the direction where a driving member 7 approaches the opening and closing panel, engagement secession of the linking pin 15 is performed from the tip of the pin gliding way 9, and the linking pin 15 is constituted so as to be capable of relatively retreating inside the pin gliding way 9.
