PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of an optical disk device by exchanging disks, even if a user does not move to the installation place of the device. SOLUTION: A loader part 8 to which information is loaded from an optical disk 4 is made to be freely attachable and detachable to and from a loader attaching part 10 of a main body part 7 of the device and also the loader part 8 is made to be able to perform a reproducing operation in a state that it is separated from the main body part 7 of the device. That is, when the loader part 8 is separated from the main body part 7 of the device, the loader part 8 packetizes information read out by an optical pickup 13 by a packet processing circuit 14, and transmits the packetized information to the main body part 7 of the device from a communication part 15. The main body part 7 of the device which receives the information transmitted from the loader part 8 by the communication part 21 decodes the received information by a decoder 22 and processes the decoded information by DA conversion in a D/A conversion circuit 23, and outputs the converted analog information from a video output circuit 24 and a sound output circuit 25.
