PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover mounting device to mount a cover on an opening part of a tank of a sewage treatment plant or a potable water treatment plant, or a water treatment plant similar thereto in which a work at site to mount a supporting frame member on an upper flange part of a girder easily and in a safe posture even when the material precision and the working precision are not high, the execution property is excellent and the maintenance is easy. SOLUTION: A required number of girders 1 for supporting a cover are stretched over an opening part of a treatment tank, and a right side supporting frame member 21 of substantially L-shaped section and a left side supporting frame member 11 of substantially inverted L-shaped section are placed on an upper flange part 2 of the girders 1 along the longitudinal direction of the girders 1 with vertical wall parts 12 and 22 for connection facing each other. An engagement part 25 of the right side supporting frame member 21 is engaged with a right side edge part 2b of the upper flange part 2 of the girder 1, and a left side engagement part 15 of the left side supporting frame member 11 is engaged with an edge part 2a of the upper flange part 2, respectively. The vertical wall parts 12 and 22 of the right and left supporting frame members 11 and 21 are connected to each other via tightening members 5 and 6, and right and left edge parts of the cover 10 to cover the opening part of the treatment tank are supported by the girders 1 via the right and left supporting frame members 11 and 21.
