PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread for a water washing mop in which dust-like substances hardly stick to a floor and fungi and smells are hardly generate during storing at the time of wiping while maintaining a water holding performance. SOLUTION: The thread for the water washing mop comprises continuous a filament comprising a synthetic polymer such as polyester or nylon.
