PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of being easily assembled and enhancing the performance of the cleaner such as suppressing the operation noise. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner has a motor case 4 housing a fan motor 4A, a fan motor 4A, and fan case in the cleaner body 1 of the vacuum cleaner. A cushion member 6 is disposed in the outer periphery portion of the inlet port 5 of the fan motor 4A. An inlet port holding portio 4B holding the inlet port 5 of the fan motor 4A and a case exhaust outlet port 8 discharging exhaust air discharged from the fan motor 4A outside of the case 4 in the motor case 4, and a holding portion 7 is disposed on its outer surface. An inlet port 10 for the fan motor 4A sucking clean air suctioned into the body, an outlet port 12 for discharging the clean air suctioned into the inside of the body to the outside, and a supporting portion 11 for securing the holding portion 7 of the motor case 4 are arranged in the cleaner body 1. The holding portion 7 is disposed at one position where the motor case 4 can be prevented from being rotated by the reaction due to the initial driving of the fan motor 4A.
