PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration detector highly accurately detecting vibration transmitted to a rigid body by making at least a part of a vibration detecting sensor in a nearly non-vibrated state and in particular to provide a toilet seat device highly accurately detecting a user's body motion transmitted to the toilet seat. SOLUTION: This toilet seat device 5 is provided with an upper lid (the rigid body) 6 and a base board (the rigid body) 7 and the vibration detector 34 supported at the vicinity of a pad (a fixed part) 23, which is attached to the lower surface of the base board 7 and capable of fixing the toilet seat by abutting on the upper surface of a toilet bowl body 22, detects the user's body motion transmitted to the toilet seat. Since the base board is fixed to the toilet bowl body 22 adjacent to the pad 23 and hardly to vibrate, this constitution can prevent the vibration of a piezoelectric sensor (the vibration detecting sensor) 9 in the supported portion. As a result, the piezoelectric sensor 9 can highly accurately detect the user's body motion transmitted to the toilet seat in the non-vibrating environment. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
