Polyethylene glycol human growth hormone conjugate useful for treating growth hormone deficiency, Turner's syndrome, chronic renal insufficiency

A polyethylene glycol (PEG) conjugate (I) is new. A polyethylene glycol (PEG) conjugate of formula (I) is new. Hypophysectomized female Sprague Dawley rats were administered 180 Microg of PEG-growth hormone (GH)s subcutaneously and phosphate buffered saline was administered to the control group. The weight gain by the test and control group rats was monitored. The PEG-GHs administered rats showed a significant weight gain than the control group, upto 35 g after 11 days.
