<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor preventing fraudulent practices such as printing interruption by dynamically changing management of usable ports and unusable ports. <P>SOLUTION: A port that receives print data is allocated to a host computer in response to a print request from the host computer, and a URI (universe resource interface) showing the port to be the destination of the print data is notified to the host computer and managed in a port state management table. When connection for transmitting the print data from the host computer is performed, the port state management table is referred to and when a host computer is one that is allocated to the port to which the connection is performed, print processing is performed.
