<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing control device which suppresses toner consumption and charge which a user does not intend even when a ground tint pattern is added. <P>SOLUTION: In a step S5201, a color processing mode 1303 to a physical page to which a printing processing is performed from now on is read. In a step S5202, the processing proceeds to a step S5203 if the color processing mode of a physical page which is attempted to be drawn from now on is monochrome and proceeds to a step S708 if the color processing mode is color. In the step S5203, black is applied as an alternative pattern color in place of a ground tint pattern color 2005 and after that, the processing proceeds to the step S708. By these steps, drawing processing is performed by changing the ground tint patten color according to a color mode 1303 set for each physical page in succeeding drawing of the ground tint print. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
