<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism growable by using a poorly soluble phytate in soil as only one carbon source and phosphorus source and to provide various methods for utilizing the microorganism. <P>SOLUTION: Lupinus albus L. cv. kievskij mutant exhibiting high low-phosphorus tolerance was cultivated in soil subjected to nutrient restriction in order to analyze interaction between a plant and the microorganism from the plant nutritional standpoint under inferior environmental conditions. A microorganism was screened with phytin as only one carbon source and phosphorus source from the soil. As a result, the existence of a microorganism growable by using aluminum phytate which is a poorly soluble phosphorus compound in soil as the only one carbon source and phosphorus source was found out. Thereby, an accomplishment was achieved. The microorganism can be utilized as a soil additive for enriching the soil, a plant growth promoter promoting the growth of a plant, a soil pollution inhibitor, etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
