<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the degradation of a fuel cell stack by cleaning noxious gas components released from inlet system component parts of a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: A chemical filter 5 is provided on the downstream side of the inlet system component parts made of a resin-base material, such as an air duct 2 and silencers 3, 4. Air cleaned by the chemical filter 5 is forcibly fed by a compressor 6 to the fuel cell stack 7. As a result, not only noxious substances contained in air but also volatile components released from the inlet system component parts are cleaned by the chemical filter 5 with reliability. This prevents the fuel cell stack from being poisoned by those noxious substances, and it is thereby possible to prolong the life of the fuel cell stack. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
