<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration of fuel cell performance and improve ruggedness in a non-circulating fuel cell in which fuel gas is not circulated. <P>SOLUTION: A control circuit 50 switches a selector valve 41 to a state that the selector valve 41 does not communicate with both a high-pressure hydrogen tank 30 and the outside of a body 21, and switches the other selector valves 40, 42 and 43 to a state that these valves 40, 42 and 43 communicate with insides of the body 21 and the high-pressure hydrogen tank 30. As a result, the fuel gas is fed from the selector valves 40, 42 and 43 to the inside of the fuel cell 20, and impurity-containing gas after being served to electromotive reaction stagnates near a communication hole 22. The control circuit 50 switches the selector valves 41 to a state that the inside and the outside of the fuel cell 20 communicate with each other, and discharges the impurity-containing gas to the outside. And then, the control circuit 50 sequentially switches communication states of the selector valves 40-43, and prevents the impurity-containing gas from stagnating near a specific communication hole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
