<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil absorbency testing method of paper and cardboard for measuring the oil absorbency of paper and cardboard for a short period of time without causing the measuring error due to the judge error of a final point, and also to provide an oil absorbency tester therefor. <P>SOLUTION: This oil absorbency tester of paper and cardboard has: a mechanism for applying a definite amount of oil to the surface of paper; a mechanism for irradiating the oil film on the surface of the paper with light; a mechanism having an electric circuit for converting the reflected quantity of light to a voltage value; a clocking means for calculating an elapse time from the moment the oil is applied; and an input means of the arbitrary final point voltage (A) of a voltage drop due to the absorption of the oil; and an arithmetic mechanism for automatically measuring the voltage value (V<SB>0</SB>) at the moment the oil is applied, and a time (T<SB>1</SB>) until the voltage value becomes V<SB>T</SB>=V<SB>0ε</SB><SP>-1</SP>(whereinεis the bottom of natural logarithm) by the absorption of the oil, and for calculating the time (t) reaching the final point of a voltage drop due to the absorption of the oil by the numerical formula:t=T<SB>1</SB>in (V<SB>0</SB>/A). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
