PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk playback device having a function setting the permission of reproduction of only one of audio information and video information in an audio and video DVD. SOLUTION: When a reproduction mode set by a mode setting means 221 is a video reproduction mode, a video title determination means 223 determines whether a title is that of the video information. When the result of this determination shows that the title is that of the video information, a title reproduction control means 225 reproduces the title. When the set reproduction mode is an audio reproduction mode, an audio title determination means 224 determines whether the title is that of the audio information.
