PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material excellent in color tone stability during storage. SOLUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material contains a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a photosensitive silver halide and a reducing agent on at least one surface of a transparent support. (1) A fog density immediately after heat development is≤0.20. (2) Value for b<SB>0</SB>* in the expression:ΔE=[(L<SB>1</SB>*-L<SB>0</SB>*)<SP>2</SP>+(a<SB>1</SB>*-a<SB>0</SB>*)<SP>2</SP>+(b<SB>1</SB>*-b<SB>0</SB>*)<SP>2</SP>]<SP>1/2</SP>in a fogged area is -20≤b<SB>0</SB>*<-4. (3) Value for color difference (ΔE) defined by the above expression is (a)≤0.9 under a condition of the passage of 10 days in an environment at 40°C and 40% RH or (b)≤1.2 under a condition of the passage of 2 days in an environment at 30°C and 70% RH. In the expression, L<SB>1</SB>* and L<SB>0</SB>* each represent metric lightness in the CIELAB space in observation with a standard light source F5; a<SB>1</SB>* and a<SB>0</SB>* each represent hue; b<SB>1</SB>* and b<SB>0</SB>* each represent chroma; L<SB>1</SB>*, a<SB>1</SB>* and b<SB>1</SB>* are values when heat development is carried out after the passage of time; and L<SB>0</SB>*, a<SB>0</SB>* and b<SB>0</SB>* are values when heat development is carried out before the passage of time.
