PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quicken the put-in operation for accommodating objects to object holding parts and the discharge operation for taking out the object from the object holding parts. SOLUTION: An object storing facility is equipped with an object storing rack 3 on which a plurality of object accommodation parts 2 having a plurality of object holding parts 1 arranged in the depth direction are provided in lines and columns and a transferring device 4 for transferring the objects F to particular object accommodation parts 2 on the rack 3, wherein the transferring device 4 is furnished with a front transfer unit 4a for transferring the objects F from the front of the rack 3 and a rear transfer unit 4b for transferring the objects from the rear of the rack 3, in such an arrangement that the front 4a and rear transfer units 4b can transfer the objects F onto any of the object holding parts 1 arranged in the depth direction, and further a control means H is installed for controlling the operations of the front 4a and rear transfer units 4b.
