PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for photographing which can control the position and the size of a face to be photographed. SOLUTION: The apparatus 10 for photographing includes a camera 12 for capturing an image in a frame, and a moving mechanism which installs the camera 12. The apparatus 10 further includes a means for detecting a feature part of the face from the image photographed by the camera 12, and a controller 40 for controlling the position and the attitude of the camera 12 which is disposed on a predetermined reference region in the frame for displaying the image by the feature part, and which gives an instruction to the moving mechanism so that the size of the face in the frame becomes a predetermined size.
