The invention concerns a premium tubular threaded joint comprising at least on a threaded element a free-end abutting distal surface (7) of a threaded element and a seat on the lip (5) spaced apart by a given distance from the threading. The lip includes a protuberance (13) which extends the lip towards its free end beyond the seat on the lip (5) so that the lip has both high radial stiffness and low axial stiffness, thereby resulting in enhanced sealing properties of the threaded joint under pressure and/or traction and other advantages (real tightening torque accuracy, axial compression mechanical strength, impact barrier effect, engagement tolerance of the threaded elements).
