<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure by which an image carrier is directly heated with high heating efficiency and to prevent dew condensation on a surface of the image carrier by which image deletion is caused. <P>SOLUTION: A photoreceptor drum 10 is provided with a photosensitive layer 11 in a surface, a magnetic metal layer 12 on the inner surface thereof, and a nonmagnetic metal layer 13 on the inner surface thereof. The photosensitive layer 11 consists of amorphous silicon. The inner surface of the photoreceptor drum 10 is provided with exciting coils 51 and a ferrite 52 for intensifying magnetic flux. When magnetic flux M generated by the exciting coils 51 passes through the magnetic metal layer 12 and the nonmagnetic metal layer 13 of the photoreceptor drum 10, eddy currents flow to these metals in the passage region and heat is generated by the electric resistances of the metals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
