PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the heat insulation of a thermally insulated container by forming the cell shape and the cell direction of a foamed body laminated on a wall surface of a container body to be a specified shape and a specified direction. SOLUTION: In the thermally insulated container 10 with a foamed body 21 overlying a wall surface 14 of a container body 11 having a content storage space 12 on the inner side, the cell 22 of the foamed body 21 has a major diameter d1 in the parallel direction and the minor diameter d2 in the vertical direction with respect to the wall surface 14 of the container body 11. A longitudinal rib 15a along the major diameter direction of the cell 22 and a lattice-shaped rib 15 consisting of the longitudinal rib 15a and a transverse rib 15b substantially orthogonal thereto are provided on the wall surface 14 of the container body, and the height of the longitudinal rib 15a is set to be larger than the height of the transverse rib 15b.
