PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat generating device, an X-ray imaging apparatus, and a method for preventing overheating of an X-ray apparatus, that optimize heat of devices including an X-ray tube and a high voltage generator of the X-ray tube. SOLUTION: The device presumes temperatures for scanning the X-ray tube and the high voltage generator in steps S203 and 205. If these temperatures exceed a permissible temperature, the device indicates the disapproval of scanning at a step S208. And, when optimization is selected, control parameters of a tube current or a tube voltage are optimized by means of dichotomizing search at a step S210 so that the temperatures stays within the permissible temperature. Thus, the device is arranged so that the X-ray tube and/or the high voltage generator run within the permissible temperature without being overheated, prevent the deterioration of the X-ray tube and/or the high voltage generator, and perform reliable scanning as a result.
