PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a metallic member having various properties using an anodization working technique. SOLUTION: A metallic member before treatment obtained, on the surface of a base material composed of aluminum, an aluminum-containing metal, magnesium or a magnesium-containing metal, by forming a surface coating composed of a resin or a metal different from the base material or metal powder is formed. The metallic member before treatment is subjected to anodization working under the conditions of high voltage and high current density, by which an anodized coating is produced from the surface of the base material to obtain a metallic member on which a composed coating where the anodized coating and the surface coating are mixed and polymerized is formed. The metallic member is subjected to secondary electrode working of being impregnated with the other metal as well, by which additional properties can further be imparted thereto.
