An information recorder capable of writing inputted data only on a specified recording medium, a recording program and a recording medium capable of writing inputted data. The information recorder comprises a means for inputting data, a means for extracting information for identifying the recording medium from a specified region of the recording medium, and a means for comparing the extracted information with predetermined information and recording the inputted data on the recording medium when the extracted information matches the predetermined information.
