PURPOSE: To obtain a detergent composition, containing an N-acylthreonine salt having an acyl group which is a fatty acid residue of a specific number of carbon atoms and a higher fatty acid salt, hardly irritating the skin and hair and improved in foaming properties, retention of foams, foam quality and feeling of use. CONSTITUTION: This detergent composition is obtained by blending (A) an N- acylthreonine salt having an acyl group which is a fatty acid residue of an 8-22C fatty acid (e.g., sodium salt of N-lauroylthreonine) with (B) an 8-22C higher fatty acid salt (e.g., potassium laurate) and (C) at least one of an anionic surfactant such as a sulfonic acid type or a sulfate salt type, a cationic surfactant such as an aliphatic amine quaternary ammonim salt type or an aromatic quaternary ammonium salt type, a nonionic surfactant such as an alkylglycoside type or an aliphatic alkanolamide type and an amphoteric surfactant such as a betaine type or an imidazoline type. The resultant composition hardly irritates the skin and hair an is improved in retention of foams, foam quality and feeling of use. |
