Microprocessor's peripherals access control

摘要

The method involves assigning a token that authorizes access to peripherals (2) of a main microprocessor, to all programs to be executed by the processor. The token is provided by an auxiliary processor of a smart card (4) that communicates with the main processor. A presence of the authorization token is checked for access to the concerned peripheral, by the card, for each request of access of the peripherals. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a system for controlling the access to peripherals communicating with a main processor via a bus (B) an electronic assembly comprising a main processor and peripherals.
