Automated method of polishing mechanical titanium or titanium alloy workpieces

The method involves moving a wheel (110) with respect to a surface of a semi-finished mechanical part with a determined speed. The wheel comprises an abrasive belt driven in rotation and applied on the part with a determined pressure. The belt comprises super-abrasive grains of industrial diamond or cubic boron nitride. The wheel is supported on a head (100) mounted on a vertical mast (20). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing blades of turbo engines.
