A lamp assembly which comprises an elongate source of radiation 14, a reflector 2 with an elongate reflective surface partly surrounding the source and having an opening for emission of radiation, the reflective surface having a concave profile and the source being located near the base of the concavity 12, wherein the reflector comprises two reflector elements 6, 8 each having a shaped surface 10 which combines with the other when the elements are held in a first relative position to form the cavity 12 in which the source is located and on the surface of which the reflective surface 16 is provided, and where the source is mounted such as to be moveable with one element to a second position relative the other element in which the source is located in a user accessible position. |
