Ethylene adsorption for the control of ripening of fruit and vegetables

Inhibiting the ripening process of fruit comprises using an adsorbent, especially a zeolite, in the vicinity of the fruit to adsorb ethylene. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for carrying out the process.
