PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for internal combustion engine capable of suppressing lessening of the amount of carrying a particulate oxidating and removing agent in the upstream in exhaust of a filter in association with its use and purifying the exhaust gas in good performance. SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device of internal combustion engine includes filter 13 installed in the exhaust system of the engine, and a bulkhead 19 is provided in the filter 13. The bulkhead 19 carries the particulate oxidating and removing agent 24 in such an arrangement that the amount of carrying is larger to the upstream in exhaust of the bulkhead 19. |
