A heddle shaft (1) comprises at least one lateral bracing post (5) joined to shaft rod (2) on end of the latter and extending perpendicular to it with a lateral pin (17) extending into hollow chamber (9); and a connecting piece (8) having retaining arms (16, 23) embracing the pin, a detent lug (18) associated with detent opening (19) and a spring device (16) disposed opposite the detent lug.
