FIELD: printing industry; production of folding apparatuses of rotational printing machines. ^ SUBSTANCE: the invention concerns to the field of printing industry, in particular, to the folding apparatuses of rotational printing machines. The folding apparatus has a cylinder (09) with folding valves and an interacting with it and located in a direction of transportation in front of the cylinder (09) blade fold cylinder (19). In the operating position between the blade fold cylinder (19) and located in front of it the cylinder (09) with folding valves there is the first clearance. The blade fold cylinder (19) is made with a capability of relocation from an operating position in a position of rest, in which between the blade fold cylinder (19) and the cylinder (09) there is the second wide clearance (95). The invention ensures a capability of a precise and reliable grab of printed items by the grabs of the removing conveyor with prevention of a damage or deformation of the items fed to the transfer position by a cascade with different distances between them. ^ EFFECT: the invention ensures a capability of a precise and reliable grab of printed items by the grabs of the removing conveyor with prevention of a damage or deformation of the items. ^ 12 cl, 9dwg
