FIELD: mechanical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: flexible shaft comprises flexible shell filled with a dense loose material. The flexible shell can be made of a pipe made of a flexible material reinforced with grid frame made of flexible fibers. The fibers are inclined to the generatrix of the cylinder at an angle of 45°±5°. The particles of the loose material are spherical, and the diameter of the spheres ranges from 100 mum to 1/5 of the internal diameter of the flexible shell. The flexible fibers are made of silk, caprone or carbon fiber reinforced plastic. The internal space of the flexible shell is filled with a lubricant and is sealed.
