Apparatus for pebbling curling ice comprises a pressure can divided into two compartments one of which has an inlet for air under pressure and the other of which includes a screw cap opening so that it can be filled with water. A pressure regulator controls the supply of air from t he air compartment to the water compartment so that the air is supplied under constant pressure allowing water to be discharged under constant pressure through a hose to a bulb shaped pebbling head.
