<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which it is difficult to separate and extract only a mixed wave of a basic wave and a wavelength-converted wave on a return way because of a structure wherein laser lights travels forward and backward on the same path in crystal. <P>SOLUTION: This laser light wavelength converting element has an incidence surface 1a which is formed of one end surface of optical crystal 1 and where the basic wave 2 of the laser light is incident, a plurality of total reflecting surfaces 1c, 1d, 1e, 1f, 1g, 1h, and 1i which are formed of at least the other end surface of the optical crystal 1 and invert the traveling direction of the laser light incident from the incidence surface 1a while shifting the position, and projection surfaces 1b and 1b' which are formed on either of the one end surface and the other end surface of the optical crystal 1 and project the laser light whose wavelength is converted in the optical crystal 1, the laser light wavelength converting element having the waveguide structure wherein the basic wave 2 after being made incident from the incidence surface 1a of the optical crystal 1 is inverted by the total reflecting surfaces 1c, 1d, 1e, 1f, 1g, 1h, and 1i and the laser lights before and after being inverted travel in parallel at a specified interval. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
