PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining a state of an object on a seat which switches an accurately determined state, even if measurement value fluctuates sandwiching the threshold. SOLUTION: A class 1 is determined, when a detected seat load is TH2 or less. A class 2 is determined, when the detected seat load is TH1 or more. A class 3 is determined, when the detected seat load is TH3 or more. A determination whether the class to be determined is the class 1 or the class 2 is not implemented using one sampling value, and is implemented using five sampling values. The class 1 is determined, when two out of five sampling values are TH2 or less. The class 2 is determined, when two out of five sampling values are TH1 or more.
