PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile machine requiring no developing circuit to a pattern data table or a bit map image and capable of restoring original data surely. SOLUTION: The facsimile machine comprises a memory 104 for storing data, a data conversion means 105 for reading out data to be stored externally from the memory 104, repeating the same bit data specified number of times in the main scanning direction for each bit of the data and repeating a data sequence in the main scanning direction specified number of times in the sub-scanning direction in units of line thus converting it into pattern data for storage, and a recording section 106 for printing the converted pattern data for storage on a recording sheet. When the data printed on the recording sheet is stored again in the memory 104, the data conversion means 105 restores original data and stores it in the memory 104. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
