PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic device of a circuit breaker allowing a spring hook to be easily engaged without much manhour by dispensing with the need of positional adjustment of a torsion spring engaged between a moving electromagnetic piece and a fixed electromagnetic piece, and capable of reducing the occurrence of engagement failure of the spring hook, and of improving assembly workability even if an expensive special spring such as a double torsion spring is not used. SOLUTION: A cut-out part 3f is formed in an upper edge of a flat plate part 3a of the moving electromagnetic piece 3; a pivotal shaft 4 is inserted into a ring part 5a of the torsion spring 5 so that the ring part 5a can be fitted to the cut-out part 3f; and both ends of the pivotal shaft 4 are fixed by inserting them into bent parts 3b and 3c of the electromagnetic piece 3. A distance between the pivotal shaft 4 and the flat plate part 3a of the electromagnetic piece 3 is so formed as to be smaller than the wire diameter of the torsion spring 5 to restrain the torsion spring 5 from moving along the pivotal shaft 4.
