PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split T-shaped pipe removing method capable of bringing even a plug body into close contact with an annular core, without fear of leaking a seal from the annular core, by securing a sealing state of the annular core and a branch port, by smoothing a close contact engaging surface of the annular core, while easily inserting the annular core into a branch port. SOLUTION: After removing a branch pipe, a boring machine is installed on a flange 6b of a gate valve device 6, and the branch port is bored again. Next, the boring machine is removed from the flange 6b, and an inserting machine 14 is installed on the flange 6b, and the annular core 16 is inserted into the branch port after boring a hole again. Afterwards, this annular core 16 is diametrally expanded, and is locked in close contact on the branch port. Next, the plug body is inserted into and fitted to the annular core 16 in a water seal state by the inserting machine 14, and the inserting machine 14 is removed, and a split T-shaped pipe 1 is finally removed from a fluid pipe 2.
