PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor having an airtight pipe connecting structure without causing a welding process; and a pipe connecting method of the compressor. SOLUTION: This compressor has a connecting structure of a pipe 20 for connecting a hollow bushing 30 for inserting an end part of the pipe 20, to a connecting hole 10a by adding pushing-in force from the side for positioning the end part of the pipe 20. The compressor includes the pipe 20, a connecting hole 30a for connecting this pipe 20, an inserting hole 30a for inserting the end part of the pipe 20, and the hollow bushing 30 inserted into the connecting hole 10a by pushing-in force from the side for positioning the end part of the pipe 20. The pipe connecting method connects the pipe 20 to the connecting hole 10a by adding the pushing-in force to the bushing 30 from the side for positioning the end part of the pipe 20, by inserting the end part of the pipe 20 into the inserting hole 30a of the bushing 30, by pushing the bushing 30 in the connecting hole 10a.
