The invention relates to a device which is used for browsing in a computer network such as the Internet and which is intended, in particular, for the display of advertising links. The inventive device comprises a display panel (11) with at least one display zone (14) which is designed to display one or more links which provide access to other pages that are accessible on said computer network. The aforementioned display panel (11) is connected to a management site (21) comprising means (24) of managing the display panels on host sites. The aforementioned management means (24) contain, in the management site, the data defining the display panel (11) on the host site (12). The configuration of the display panel does not involve the computer code defining the host site (12), thereby facilitating the installation and configuration of said display panel (11). The invention provides an application which is accessible to any individual or company that wants to use same in order to display and distribute advertising. Unlike the inventive system, all prior art systems are closed, i.e. they can only be used the author or owner.
