PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of copying (duplicating) telephone number data registered in an automatic dialing registration memory, in a telephone directory data memory as occasion demands. SOLUTION: Since a copying means copies in the telephone directory data memory as telephone directory data, opposite party side telephone numbers registered in the automatic dialing registration memory, the opposite party side telephone numbers registered as those for the automatic dialing can be registered as telephone directory data in a telephone directory. Consequently, when a new number is registered as one for automatic dialing, when opposite party side telephone numbers whose number is the largest one registerable as those for automatic dialing are registered, the already-registered opposite party side telephone numbers are copied in the telephone directory data memory and are left as they are, before the new number is overwritten in the automatic dialing registration memory.
