PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resonator and a dielectric filter which can attain miniaturization and low cost, has high accuracy and low loss, and has desired characteristics. SOLUTION: Open stubs 191a-s, 191b-s are provided on a pair of parallel resonance electrodes 191a, 191b so as to protrude toward another resonance electrode side to adjust an input impedance, thereby eliminating the necessity of a matching circuit. The first capacitor of a laminated structure consisting of an electrode 172a connected to a ground layer 12, an electrode 192a connected to the open end side of the resonance electrode 191a, and a dielectric layer 18 is provided. Further, a second capacitor of a laminated structure consisting of an electrode 172b connected to the layer 12, an electrode 192b connected to the open end side of the resonance electrode 191b, and the dielectric layer 18 is provided.
