PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection screen excellent in visibility on which a video is vividly displayed even under bright ambient light, and which is improved in the brightness of the video, and also to provide a projection system equipped with the projection screen. SOLUTION: The projection screen 10 is equipped with a polarized light selective reflection layer 11 having cholesteric liquid crystal structure to selectively reflect the light of a prescribed polarized light component, and supporting base material 12 or the like supporting the polarized light selective reflection layer 11. The polarized light selective reflection layer 11 has partial selective reflection layers 11a, 11b and 11c laminated together and having different spiral pitch lengths. Among the partial selective reflection layers 11a, 11b and 11c, the partial selective reflection layer 11c diffusing and reflecting the light having a wavelength region showing green (G) which has the highest luminosity factor is provided on the outermost surface on an observation side, and other partial selective reflection layers 11a and 11b are provided on the base material 12 side rather than the partial selective reflection layer 11c side.
