TONER COMPOSITION FOR WET ELECTRONIC RECORDING, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING TONER AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet toner including an organic pigment and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The toner composition for wet electronic recording comprises a liquid carrier having a kauri-butanol number of less than about 30 mL and a plurality of toner particles dispersed in the liquid carrier. The toner particles comprise a polymer binder and a pigment including a first ionic dye component which is ionic-complexed with a second ionic dye component in a prescribed ratio to form an ionic-complexed colorant compound which develops a prescribed color. The colorant compound has a molecular weight of less than about 5,000 daltons and does not substantially contain a metal which does not covalently bond to a colorant compound. A toner is also provided which includes a pigment including a first ionic dye component and a second ionic dye component so complexed that a prescribed color is developed in a colorant composition.
