PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystalline polyester resin dispersion which reconciles hot storage resistance with low-temperature fixability and is suitable for use in manufacture of toner capable of forming a high density and high sharpness image. SOLUTION: The crystalline polyester resin dispersion is manufactured by a method including a step of preparing a melt-kneaded material by melt-kneading a crystalline polyester resin and a binder resin, a step of preparing a particle-containing material by forming crystalline polyester resin particles by cooling the melt-kneaded material, and a step of preparing a dispersion of the crystalline polyester resin particles by partly dissolving the particle-containing material in a solvent. A method for manufacturing the toner includes an adhesive base forming step in which an active-hydrogen-containing compound, a polymer capable of reacting with the active-hydrogen-containing compound, and the crystalline polyester resin dispersion are dispersed in an aqueous medium and reacted to obtain a toner while forming an adhesive base. A toner manufactured by the manufacturing method preferably has a softening temperature (Ts) of≥50°C and a flowage beginning temperature (Tfb) of≥60°C. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
