PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inside diameter measuring instrument capable of coping with even workpieces different in inside diameters. SOLUTION: A head 12 is constituted of four variable guides 31, and a circumferential wall 34 of the head 12 is formed into a cylindrical shape by a tip part constituting member 32 of the each variable guide 31. An angled part of each variable guide 31 base end is arranged in the central part C of a measuring instrument main body 11. An extended part 41 of the each variable guide 31 is held freely movably between a fixing member 26 and a fixing plate 24, and the each variable guide 31 for forming the circumferential wall 34 of the head 12 is made independently movable radial-directionally. A micrometer 52 is provided in a bracket 51 on a fixing plate 24 reverse face, and a spindle 53 is made freely movable along the center line C. A taper pin 55 is provided in a spindle 53 tip, and a taper face 62 of the taper pin 55 is brought into contact with a recess 61 angled part of the each variable guide 31 base end to make the each variable guide 31 moved radial-directionally by the taper pin 55.
