PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device that prevents a degradation of recording quality due to the vibration of a platen. SOLUTION: In the inkjet recording device 1, a T-shirt, for example, is set on the platen 20 supported by a support 21, and the carriage 5 discharges an ink from an inkjet head 6 mounted on the bottom while reciprocating along guide rails 4 and performs printing on the T-shirt. The inkjet recording device 1 detects the kind of the platen 20 by a platen identification sensor (not shown in Fig.) and determines a rest time table from the kind of the platen. The inkjet recording device discharges an ink after stopping for a rest time stored in the rest time table in accordance with the number of line feeds from the start of printing (position on the platen 20) during printing after moving the platen 20.
