<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric power consumption and rotational frequency of a fan motor necessary to obtain predetermined air quantity, and to reduce noise. <P>SOLUTION: In this cross flow fan 1, a plurality of stationary blades 21 are provided in an upwind side in a suction region, and an attack angle 16 of a blade 12 is made small by changing a wind direction by the stationary blades 12 such that wind contacts with a negative pressure face side of the blade 12 of the cross flow fan 1. This can reduce vortexes 15 generated on the negative pressure face 13 of the blade 12 of the cross flow fan 1, and therefore, electric power consumption and rotational frequency of the fan motor (not shown in the figure) necessary to obtain the predetermined air quantity can be reduced. In addition, relationship between fan diameter D of the cross flow fan 1 and distance L between rings may satisfy (D+2,000)/L≥38.0, and height of a projection at a tip of a stabilizer may be changed between the rings of the cross flow fan 1.
